Style Palace celebrates Australian natural fibres

Style Palace celebrates Australian natural fibresStyle Palace celebrates Australian natural fibresEvery day the team at Style Palace are surrounded by beautiful woollen, silk and cotton garments from some of Australia’s best designers but it is not often we stop to think about the process that is involved to get these garments into our Showroom and onto our website.

This week Style Palace partnered with the Royal Agricultural Society and Australian Wool Innovation to host a series of daily fashion parades at the 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show. The parades have been showcasing a wide range of garments from bathers to bridal gowns, all made from natural fibres produced by the Australian agricultural industry.

The parades are being hosted in the Jim Horwood Sheep, Shearing and Wool Pavilion and between parades the Style Palace team have been mingling with local famers, hundreds of goats and sheep, adorable baby animals, local farmers and have been watching the sheep shearers in action.

The parades have provided visitors to the Royal Show with the opportunity to gain a better appreciation of the process a garment will go through during the production cycle, and highlighted what an important role the agricultural industry plays in the fashion industry.

Style Palace celebrates Australian natural fibresOn Tuesday morning the parade also featured garments from seven of China’s most popular fashion brands and it was wonderful to have 30 representatives from the brands attend the parade. Some of the labels have more than 2,000 stores across China and the Chinese fashion industry plays a huge role in supporting the Australian agricultural industry. Style Palace celebrates Australian natural fibres

The parades have been extremely well attended every day and visitors can go in the draw to win a $250 Style Palace voucher. The 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show is running until Saturday, 2 October so if you have the chance to make it to the Show this year, make sure you drop in to the Jim Horwood Sheep, Shearing and Wool Pavilion at 11am, 1pm and 3pm daily to check out the parade. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Style Palace Launches the 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show…

Style Palace Launches the 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show...It was a madhouse of baby animals, acrobats, musicians and models this morning at the Claremont Showgrounds in Perth, Western Australia, as Style Palace partnered with the Royal Agricultural Society and Australian Wool Innovation to launch the 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show.

Darlene Gianoli, Founder and Director of Style Palace, took to the microphone as MC and Style Palace provided a sneak preview of the fashion parades that will take place daily at this year’s Royal Show. The parades are a collaboration between Style Palace and Australian Wool Innovation to showcase the best of Australia’s natural fibres including wool, cotton and silk.

At the media launch five models from the Star Factory were styled in wool and natural fibres from some of Style Palace’s most popular Australian designers including Camilla, Viktoria and Woods and Jessie Hill. The preview included swimwear from White Sands and a fantastic selection of shawls, scarfs and jumpers from Pit Willow Alpacas. Jewellery and accessories were from Samantha Will and Luxe Accessories.

Whilst the media launch provided the opportunity to get fun and playful, the parades at the 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show will highlight how natural fibres such as wool can be used to make the transition from winter through to the summer months. This can be achieved by layering finer garments in the cooler months and enjoying lighter fabrics such as cotton when the sun starts to shine.

Style Palace Launches the 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show...The parades will showcase many popular designers from Style Palace, as well as designers from the Australian Wool Innovation Woolmark Wardrobe including Friedrich Gray, Romance was Born and Therese Rawsthorne. This is in addition to woollen items from Pit Willow Alpacas and a bridal gown from Sapphire Bridal.

Style Palace is committed to supporting Australian designers and the 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show provides a great opportunity to extend this support to encompass the local agricultural industry and their fabrics.

If you live in Western Australia be sure to visit the Jim Horwood Sheep, Shearing and Wool Pavilion during the 2010 Smokefree Perth Royal Show. We look forward to seeing you there!
