Even though Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) 2011 has finally wrapped up, the trends we saw canvassing the catwalk will no doubt spill out into the streets for spring and summer.
The fashion fiends have identified the four key trends we saw at RAFW and stylepalace.com.au has got you covered to keep you ahead of the pack.
1. Seen at almost every RAFW show (and no doubt inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge’s divine wedding ensemble) was lovely lace. Lace leggings, dresses and detailing lined shows like Zimmerman and Arnsdorf. To keep things a little lacy, why not try the Bec and Bridge La Femme dress or for a more subtle approach, the Katie Hosking Romance Lace insert top.
2. Sheer and chic materials were another feature at RAFW, which were sophisticated, yet still a little cheeky…the Lover and Therese Rawsthorne shows had floaty sheer materials to sweep us into spring. To translate this trend, why not try two pieces from LifewithBird- the Basic Sheer cropped tank and the Basic Sheer shirt dress.
