The final day of Perth Fashion Festival (PFF) 2011 has arrived and will celebrate its closing with one of its biggest shows, the 25^th anniversary of Western Australian fashion powerhouse Wheels & Dollbaby.

 Last night featured the third and final Designer Capsule show including One Fell Swoop, Zhivago, Ange Lang and Zsadar. It was followed by the final runway show at Fashion Paramount for 2011 – S2.

 It was a night of ‘firsts’ for Perth Fashion Festival with local designers, Zhivago and Zsadar, making their catwalk debut at Fashion Paramount and PFF 2011 International Model Search winner Shanae Millar walking for Ange Lang in Designer Capsule #3.

 S2 wowed crowds with its strong aesthetic and theatrics.

Spotted front row was PFF 2011 Face and supermodel Nicole Trunfio, cricketer Mitchell Johnson and wife Jessica Johnson, fashion illustrator Pip McManus, designer Alvin Fernandez, radio presenter Em Rusciano, Troy and Sophia Barbagallo and footballer Ryan Crowley.

Perth Fashion Festival (PFF) kicked off its highly anticipated 2011 program last night with an exclusive VIP launch party featuring one of Western Australia’s hottest design talents, Aurelio Costarella.

Celebrities, dignitaries, media and a who’s who of WA’s fashion were treated to a fashion feast as Costarella, for the first time in PFF history, showcased his Spring Summer collection and a live presentation of his 24 Looks exhibition.

Costarella’s Spring Summer collection featured his signature lace, feathers, draping and embellishments. 21 models paraded in circular fashion around the C Restaurant overlooking the magnificent Swan River.

Jazz singer Julia Jenkins entertained VIP guests including Perth Fashion Festival Directors Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan and Tony Sage, West Australian Premier Colin Barnett, Attorney General Christian Porter, Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi, national and international media guests, designers Kym Ellery, Yeojin Bae, Trump Models NY’s Duane Giza, international fashion blogger Kee Hua Chee and participating designers in PFF 2011.

Earlier in the day, Perth’s fashionistas enjoyed fine food and fashion at the Myer Fashion Luncheon. National designer Gabrielle Manning from Manning Cartell attended the lunch as a VIP guest alongside Kym Ellery, Aurelio Costarella and Yeojin Bae – all leading Australian labels in the Myer stable.

Now in its 13^th year, the Festival has embraced its ‘coming of age’ with a number of firsts including tonight’s stand-alone showcase Yeojin Bae and Designer Capsule #1 show.
