Although we were styling for the Style Palace winter lookbook, everything about our photo shoot this week absolutely sizzled! Our models were looking smoking hot and it wasn’t just because it was 34 degrees outside! They changed from woollen garments to trench coats with ease and the glamorous girls certainly stopped traffic. The postman nearly fell off his bike and we were worried the local gardener was going to accidentally chop off his foot with a weed whacker when he spotted the girls in action.
The intense heat would make any girl’s makeup slide off their face but our models looked immaculately fresh all day thanks to the amazing makeup artistry from Hendra. Eyes sparkled and complexions were effortlessly flawless whilst Claire Levido from McMillan’s worked her magic styling hair throughout the day.
A special mention goes to Mick (the unsuspecting male model!) from our neighbouring design agency who leant us his vintage Ford for the shoot. We are sure he wasn’t expecting to feature in the shoot when he innocently stuck his head out the door to check on the progress but what guy is going to argue against being photographed with three stunning models?! His relaxed style was perfect for the shoot so keep an eye out for Mick’s guest appearance when the lookbook is launched online in May.
The day wouldn’t have been possible without the photographic skills of Josh Gilmour, the filming expertise of our SPTV cameraman, Peter Chase, plus the creative styling input of the entire Style Palace team. Prince Romeo also made a few cameo appearances in a number of photos and our very own Princess Lisa jumped in front of the camera to show us how easily Style Palace can cater for the fashion needs of expectant mums.
Finally, the hero of the day was without a doubt the wide array of beautiful clothes and accessories from Australia’s very best emerging and established designers. It was impossible to showcase every item available from Style Palace but the lookbook will certainly provide a spectacular snapshot and plenty of styling suggestions.
A special thank you to Hobbs Shoes for supplying shoes for our shoot as well as Franzone Motors for the beautiful vintage Vespa.
The lookbook will be launched online at www.stylepalace.com.au early in May and will have a special interactive feature allowing you to click on your favourite items and view them in closer detail. The lookbook will also provide plenty of styling tips for the winter months so stay tuned for the online launch!
Until then, here are a few of the ‘behind the scenes’ photos taken at on the day…. Enjoy xx
